Sheetrocking has begun! It's interesting to actually start seeing walls and ceilings.

They've got the first two floors done, but they've had to knock off early a couple of times this week because of the sudden heat and humidity. It's pretty amusing when you think about it. When the house was all open, the framers were working in brutal cold. Now that the protective shell is up, it's all interior work, and the heat is too intense. Mother Nature is still doing her best to slow us down.
You can really begin to see how the interior is going to look when it's finished. This is the reading window. I completely expect this to be the dogs' comfy-spot-of-choice when the house is done because it will have a nice padded seat and a view of the road. They'll claim that in a hurry. We were at the site with the dogs recently and a neighbor stopped by to talk to us. Zack was in the window barking at him like we'd lived there for ten years. Our pooch may not be the brightest bulb on the tree, but he's claimed the house already.

Mysterious notes like these are on the floor of every room. Evidently it's some kind of mystic communication between contractor and sheetrock crew.
