Mud Room

We have a nice little mudroom for coats and boots right off the garage. We keep our outdoor gear here, and use the upstairs coat closet for guests.

Right now it's housing a swiftly growing paint collection.
The paint collection only got larger, but now it dwells in the basement. The mudroom has become a very useful little place. The icky concrete colored floor had to go. I painted it a shade or two darker than the walls. I pictured it a bit darker than it actually came out, but I'm too cheap to go get more paint. This will do fine.

I dragged an unused cabinet down here and placed it next to the old tv stand that we're using for a boot caddy. The cabinet now houses all my tools. I can't leave them lying around anymore, since I've finished most of the catch-all rooms that I WAS keeping them in, so I may as well have a place for them.

The toolbox was contrary and wouldn't fit inside the cabinet, which offends my innate sense of order, but you know, it's a mudroom. Big deal if the toolbox is out. I really need to work on this compulsive neatness thing I've got going.
