And we're back. There was a lot to see when we arrived, so this is pretty much a random sampling of the many new things we discovered on our first foray back to the house after our vacation. It was an eventful two weeks.

As you can see, they've finished the greatroom. It looks amazing.

Another view, showing the reading window peak and light sconces.

This was a couple that Ray brought by to see the house. It's terribly exciting to suddenly be a portfolio piece. Here you can see Craig extolling the virtues of the balcony to his enraptured audience. It has been predicted that Craig will be giving speeches off this spot in the future. I have a funny feeling that this prediction will be dead on.

A rather blurry photo of the stained glass window Craig's Mom gave us several years ago. We made a nice spot for it in the billiards room.

This window was one of the few items that got past the massive pre-move Rae-organization and accidentally ended up in storage. I was most vexed when I realized that it was in a box, somewhere deep in our virtually inaccessible storage unit because I knew we'd need it before the house was finished. I fretted and worried, and lost sleep until one day in a fit of pique I went to the storage unit, pulled a few boxes out of the way and went spelunking--with much risk to my own neck. I emerged nearly an hour later, sweaty and tired, but triumphantly clutching the window, miraculously unbroken. It was a good day.

Our geothermal unit is now sitting quietly like a huge cave troll in the Pit of Darkness. We have to build it a little fully insulated cave of it's own to live in, but that comes later.
