We started with a metal frame to support the wooden structure, and to make the sliding action more simple. This is the frame in its down position...
...and up. The final interior height is about 6'5". It gives us a nice tall ceiling and clears our heads by several inches.
Here's Norman putting up one of the first wall sections. Needless to say, the period wagons were made differently, but they didn't routinely move at 60mph, so we had to factor that in.
