Started working on the interior window frames today, but I had to show this. I normally hold all the doors and shutters open with a bunch of hooks and eyes. It's kind of a pain. I found these online recently, and they work like a charm. Now I just push the door open and CLICK! It stays in place. No more fiddling. (Okay, so I'm a bit slow. At least I figured out a solution.)

The windows were kind of bare looking, so I decided to play with those a bit.

I added a veneer trim around the edges, and brackets to hold in the screens. I found some inexpensive little sconce curtain rod holders that I was able to adapt into a small shelf above each window.

Add little lacy curtains and I've got attractive window covers that give us even more storage.
